Occupational Physiotherapy Services
Musculoskeletal problems are a common cause of absenteeism and lost productivity but organisations
that invest in an occupational physiotherapy service routinely achieve pay-back on their investment within a year.
A COPE Physiotherapist aims to rehabilitate employees suffering from musculoskeletal problems into the work place
and prevent musculoskeletal problems occurring.
The role of an Occupational Physiotherapist
- Conduct clinical assessments
- Provide clinical treatment and advice
- Assess the workplace
- Recommend workplace interventions to prevent further injury
On-site or Off-site? You choose...
Organisations can have a regular, on-site (or local) physiotherapy service on a contract basis or on a
"by appointment" off-site basis. For on-site services, COPE will advise on space and equipment requirements.
More than just Physiotherapy
Our clinicians are always conscious of the commercial pressures that result from employees who
need treatment, such as:
- Treatment cost
- Abscence
- Possible legal action
- Possible changes to equipment design
- The "domino" effect on other employees
All these factors are taken into account and discussed with management when recommendations are made.
