What is Occupational Psychology?

Psychology is defined by the British Psychological Society as "the scientific study of people, the mind and behaviour". There are a different kinds of psychologists, such as clinical, occupational and health psychologists.

Occupational Psychologists help organisations to get the best from their workforce, by improving employee health, productivity and job satisfaction.

By applying psychological expertise, COPE’s Occupational Psychologists work to increase the health and effectiveness of organisations and employees. This can involve issues such as:
