"In January 2003, Vauxhall Motors engaged COPE as the Occupational Health Specialists for the plant. The TGWU,
including myself were sceptical and somewhat hostile towards COPE as we believed that COPE would be no different
to any other contractor, in as much as "Whoever pays the piper calls the tune".
However, as COPE introduced a number of positive changes to our medical services and in our dealings on a daily
